How do we get a wedding license?
To get married, you will need to obtain a marriage license from the state where you are getting married. If you are getting married in Sevier County, it's easy to obtain a license! Follow this link to get pre-registered and pick it up today! Please note that the marriage license is only valid for 30 days, so we recommend not obtaining it too far in advance of your wedding day.
Can we really get married today?
Yes, absolutely! If you have your marriage license, simply bring it to our location and we will be thrilled to get you hitched and make your wedding day unforgettable!
What is your booking process?
We utilize a convenient and efficient system called Honeybook, which allows us to send you our detailed pricing brochure and contracts online. You can also make payments through this secure system. Plus, it serves as a convenient communication tool throughout the entire wedding planning process, ensuring that no details fall through the cracks. To secure your booking, we require a non-refundable deposit. From there, we offer flexibility in payment options, including monthly installments or a customized budget-friendly payment plan tailored to your needs. We strive to make the booking process as simple and stress-free as possible for our clients.
Can we have a non-religious service?
We understand that your wedding day is incredibly special, and we are committed to making it truly personalized for every client. We offer the flexibility to customize your wedding ceremony according to your preferences and beliefs. This means that religious, spiritual but not religious, or civil ceremonies are all welcome. Our team is dedicated to ensuring your wedding reflects your unique love story and vision for your special day.
Do you provide flowers?
We offer faux flower arrangements and bouquets with select packages, providing a beautiful and hassle-free option for your wedding. However, if you prefer fresh floral arrangements, we can recommend a few trusted places to source them. Our team is here to assist you in creating the perfect floral arrangements that align with your wedding theme and style.
Can we bring our own decorations, music, or other personal items for the wedding?
Yes, absolutely! Your ceremony should reflect your unique style and preferences. We encourage you to add any personal touches to make your day fit your love story. Our team is dedicated to you, and we're happy to accommodate any special requests. We'll take care of setting up any decorations you provide, so you can focus on enjoying your special day exactly as you pictured.
Do we need rings?
Rings are not mandatory for your ceremony with us. We understand that every couple is unique, and we will tailor your ceremony to your preferences. However, if you are interested in finding rings, we recommend checking out Myrick’s Jewelry, located in downtown Gatlinburg. They offer a wide selection of exquisite rings for you and your loved one.
Do we have to have a witness to the ceremony?
In Sevier County, Tennessee, witnesses are not required, so you can have a ceremony without any witnesses present. Whether you declare your love in front of 1 guest or 150, Appalachian Wedding Company will ensure your ceremony fits all legal requirements of the county.
How many guests can we bring?
We have a wide variety of venues for your party size! Forest Pavilion can accommodate up to 24 guests, bridal party included. Mountain Views can accommodate up to 100 guests, Brookside Bliss 150 guests, and Happily Ever After can host up to 130 party guests. Choose the venue that best fits your guest list, and our team will work with you to create the perfect wedding experience.
Do you officiate services in Cades Cove or the national park?
Unfortunately, we do not have the licensing to officiate weddings in Cades Cove or the National Park. However, we would be happy to recommend some great companies that are authorized to do so! We want to help no matter what, so contact us today for more information.
Do you travel to weddings outside Sevier County?
Our primary service area is Sevier County, which includes popular wedding destinations such as Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the surrounding areas. However, if you are interested in having your wedding outside of Sevier County in the Cosby/Newport area, contact us for more info!
